Living in a Motorhome Guestbook

Hiya Paul, had to say hello, Sue and I have been fulltiming for about 12yrs, we have a similar m/home except it's the ducato with eldis body and also own an old, 26yr, Porsche, in white!
Re your head light lens going awol, the glue fails and they drop off, had 2 do it so far.
To feel a little safer wildcamping try the 'ring' outside light with pir, one each side and coupled to an internal buzzer.
Any electric/electronic issues feel free to ask, it's part of what I do.
We're currently 18mnth & loads of money into building a 30ft motorhome, bit ott maybe, hopefully out of the workshop before THIS christmas.
Best of luck, maybe not for everyone, nothing is as simple or free as it may at first appear (as you have probably learned) but we feel it's well worth it and until age/health forces otherwise I can't see us ever going back to walls without wheels. S&s

Hi Phil

Just to say, Maplins have that deal finished now, better off going on Ebay, solar has dropped in price massive I've seen PV solar panels, (PV is the latest best stuff ) 60 watts for £135 which is nothing, in fact Im thinking of taking a few of my panels off and fitting some of these

good luck mate

cheers

Paul

Hi Paul
Fantastic read, mate.
I am in a similar situation. I DJ in a couple of out-of-town clubs in the week and I sleep in my van, not a motorhome, returning on Thursday night.
I'm thinking of giving notice on my flat and going fulltime, but I only have a small van, so its a bit of a tight squeeze.
Thanks for all the tips. I'm going to check out Go Outdoors and try to fit one of the Maplins solar pannels to charge my battery.

Best of luck, mate.
Phil

I have loved your accounts - and the information and links - just brill! Other sites I have looked at have been a tad on the bland side and just a bit too 'Harold & Hilda'!!!

We are taking the adventure plunge soon - renting our house out at the end of the year to motor home around blighty then Europe - with visits back to the family. I feel more confidant about the idea of mixing wild camping with sites now.

(Sounds like you have re-built your van ...and did you ever get the MOT ???)

Very Inspirational Read I Plan To Do Something Similar But Rent Out My Flat.Anyway Regarding The Drink Drive Bit I Was Once Told By A Trucker That If Your Curtains Are Drawn On Your Return & You Have A Sleeper Cab Then It Is Perfectly Legal To Be Over The Limit As The Vehichle Cannot Be Driven.? Not Sure About Motorhomes But I Would Be Interested In Finding Out On That One As The Same Principles In Theory Would Apply.

Your blog is mind blowing and amazing. Can I come to Benidorm with you next year? Please don't tell me to Fahk Orf as I have suffered much rejection in my life.
